A Few Minutes to Write by Christine Duncan

At the end of Michelle’s last post she stated that she would like to have the chance to write all day. I have, on occasion, and I have to tell you, it’s not what it’s cracked up to be.

I cleaned. I carpooled. I rescued friends from their carpools. I would always think I would get to it, as soon as I got X done. Trust me, I would get X done and Y would be on the phone needing me.

I like what Michelle said about fitting it in as she cooked because I am doing that right now. Dinner is simmering away and I am here at the computer. Fitting writing in where ever, works for me, maybe because my brain needs the time in between to jump to the next scene.

I may never be a writer who can quit her day job, but I can be consistent and I’m proud of that. Even if it’s just a few minutes here and there.
