It’s the day after Halloween and I’m stuffed full with too much chocolate and not wanting to move. I just have a couple of things that might be useful to you as a writer to mention here today. The first is that today (Monday) is the start of National Novel Writing Month abbreviated as NaNoWriMo by those folks who are able to do that. Frankly there are days I doubt I can write a novel ever–let alone in a month but it looks like it could be fun. Find out more about it Here
The rumor is that those who finish NaNoWriMo are getting a copy of Scrivener for windows. I understand that it is the Beta version of the software for writers which is slated to be released in early 2011. Writing friends are hoping that Scriverner’s corkboard feature which allows you to plan in advance, will help them do away with post it notes and those little 3×5 index cards that they were shuffling around. If you’re not doing NaNoWriMo or you just don’t want to wait, you can get a Beta copy here. Just keep in mind that it could be buggy.
Last but not least, I’m wondering if anyone out there has responded to a writing job on Twitter, that they found by searching for #writing. Did it work out? Did you get any money? Tell all please.
Have a good week, folks.
